Jonathan Ogline

Jonathan Ogline

Jonathan is a family law attorney at Brighter Day Law. He is an experienced litigator who has compassionately advocated for Colorado clients in domestic relations matters since 2015.

Jonathan attended Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, earning a bachelor’s degree in political science in 2006. He then played poker professionally for four years, competing against the world’s best players in large tournaments and cash games around the world before moving to Colorado to attend law school. In 2013, Jonathan earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Colorado in Boulder.

Jonathan began his legal career as an intern with the Colorado Attorney General’s Office as a member of the consumer protection section. He then served as a law clerk for two different judges in the 2nd Judicial District of Colorado where he assisted with a wide variety of criminal and civil cases before transitioning to private practice in family law. His experience working in the courtroom while being privy to judicial decision-making gives him the confidence needed to fiercely and creatively advocate for clients facing the rigors of the judicial system.

Prior to joining Brighter Day Law, Jonathan practiced exclusively in family law for several small law firms where he represented clients in courtrooms across the front range, from Fort Collins to Trinidad. He has helped countless clients successfully navigate all manners of family law situations.

Jonathan joined the team at Brighter Day Law because of the firm’s unwavering commitment to providing compassionate yet fearless representation for families and children during the difficult times they face. He aims to have a positive impact on his clients by helping them resolve their cases efficiently and equitably, regardless of whether that is through negotiation, mediation or litigation. He takes pride in consistently obtaining favorable results for his clients while also providing a calming presence during the stresses created through family law litigation.

Outside of the firm, Jonathan enjoys the outdoors, sports, and the occasional poker game. In his youth, he was an eagle scout and a division 1 NCAA track and cross-country athlete for Duke University. He is a member of his high school’s athletic hall of fame and still holds several school records across a variety of sports. While this competitive spirit is still on display at the poker table or advocating for his clients, these days he prefers to spend his leisure time skiing, golfing, playing racquet sports or hiking in Colorado’s beautiful mountains. When not actively pursuing his passions, Jonathan can usually be found supporting his favorite athletes and teams from the stands or the comfort of the couch.
