Mark Mizell

Mark Mizell is an attorney at Brighter Day Law. He has over 26 years of experience practicing a wide range of areas including personal injury, real estate, criminal law, labor and employment law, probate law, entertainment law, and family law.

Mark attended Southern Illinois University where he graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Advertising in 1990. Mark earned his Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University in 1996.

Mark’s legal career began in Nashville, Tennessee where he spent 18 years litigating matters throughout the middle Tennessee region. Over the course of his legal career, he has practiced and excelled in a wide range of legal areas and has litigated cases in courts ranging from the Municipal Court, the US Court of Appeals, and everything in between. In Tennessee, Mark ran his own firm for some time, but as it usually happens, 9 years ago he fell in love with the Colorado lifestyle while visiting and relocated to the Colorado Springs area. 

Throughout his career, Mark learned that regardless of someone’s background or circumstances, most people simply desire a fair and equitable result. His goal is to advocate for his clients and guide them through the process to reach their goals. He enjoys breaking down and explaining what’s happening in their legal matters and shedding light as to ‘why’, so each client has a thorough understanding of their case. 

Mark joined the team at Brighter Day Law to be a part of the firm’s positive attitude and its determination to help people. He enjoys working in a team-centered environment where everyone works to support one another and its clients. 

In his time away from the office, Mark enjoys hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, scuba diving, skiing, snowshoeing, and supporting his favorite team, the Tennessee Titans. He is also passionate about wilderness preservation, animal welfare, and the prevention of animal cruelty.
